Definition of PPCPPC is an acronym that stands for pay per click. It is sometimes referred to as cost per click. Pay per click is one of the advertising strategies that ecommerce sites utilises in an effort to draw traffic to their website. Different website owners elect to place links on their particular website in exchange for a commission from the advertiser. The links are created to draw traffic to a different website, specifically the website of the entity that is doing the advertising. The commission is based upon the total hits or clicks created by web users on the link. Typically, with pay per click, the individual website receives a predetermined amount per each click that is registered on the link in question. In most case, a successful conversion does not need to take place in order for the commission to be earned. Pay per click ads can also appear on the search engine results page and will be listed as a sponsored link or ad. External links:Previous: POP3
