Definition of Java

Java is a type of programming language invented by Sun Microsystems that utilizes object-oriented programming designed to be downloaded without the fear of obtaining harmful viruses. It is utilized to compose programs for use on the Internet, applications for intranets, or other distributed networks. Although it is similar to C++ language, it is much simpler to use. Java is versatile and can be utilised on an individual computer or across several servers and clients that are connected in a specific network.

Small applications referred to as applets can be created with Java for use on webpages in order to create an interactive experience for the user. Java features portability within a specific network, a source program with a bytecode, and is easy to learn. Java also features platform-independent capability, multi-threaded environment, object-oriented fundamentals, and a robust environment. It is often used to create large systems that feature a great deal of complexity such as transaction processing systems.
