Definition of Black Hat SEO

Black Hat SEO or search engine optimisation refers to the practice of maximizing your search ranking using unethical methods and techniques. Black Hat SEO usually involves one or more of the following listed practices. The website owner includes content that he presents in a visual or non-visual manner to search engine spiders along with search engine users in an unethical way. A poor user experience is created due to the Black Hat SEO techniques that the website has used. Search engine rules and regulations are broken.

Black Hat SEO is also referred to as spamdexing due to the methods it uses. One of these is keyword stuffing, which involves the placement of long lists of keywords and very little else on your site. The use of invisible text is another method used to attract search engine spiders. It involves the placement of white text on a white background. Another technique is to use doorway pages for a website. Doorway pages are fake pages that will not be visible to the website user. Search engines catch on to these tricks and typically penalize the website.
